At Innerself Lightworks we are focused on raising your vibration, and doing that with mindset, matter and meditation.
The "matter" piece of this is all about eating clean - and this topic makes it into our conversations on a daily basis. To eat a plant based diet, rich in nutrient dense, colorful food is a major factor in keeping your vibration high. When our vibration is high, we are smarter, healthier, and more connected to source.

But we know that eating clean isn't easy, and that's why we've partnered with a company that has a mission to help humans get there, globally. With whole food concentrates and aeroponic growing, we are bridging the gap between what we eat and what we should eat. It helps to fill our cup, literally and figuratively.
So from time to time you may see us post about gardening, because we believe that growing your own food is the best way to make sure your food is nutrient dense, chemical and germ free, and sustainable.
From time to time you may see us post about plant power, highlighting certain fruits and veggies and why they are an ally for our body. And how you can get 30 to 55 of these super foods into your diet every day.
Without a doubt, what the government recommends is the bare minimum. The bare minimum is 10 servings of fruits and veggies per day - and a serving is the size of your fist. Do you eat that many per day? Are those 10 different plants? Because variety is also extremely important when you're talking about rebuilding the cells of a human body on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and decade-ly basis. If you want your body to be vibrant, youthful, and protected, you must eat the rainbow. Period.
So if your brain, body, or spirit is struggling, not operating at 100%... and what's more, think about what your DNA is doing under the surface (how do your parents feel? How did your ancestors feel and what was the cause of their body's decline?) - it's time to think about plant power.
Eat the rainbow. And I don't mean a Skittles rainbow - in fact, cut out processed sugar altogether. While you're at it, drink half your body weight in ounces. Get 8 hours of sleep. Don't eat dinner later than 6pm. Move daily. Meditate daily. And reduce or eliminate inflammatory foods (processed, gluten, dairy, etc).
Nutrient-dense humans win!
New season, visual goals, and eclipses
This is an amazing time to focus on what your intentions for this next season are. To spend time journaling, creating, and visualizing your next 90-day goals, and working on the increment steps towards your next big goals.
Summer is fast and furious around here, our gardens are in full bloom and the summer heat has settled in. It inspires us to get out into the woods, to go camping, and to go paddling on our many lakes that surround Steamboat.
It means less time in the office and in our home, and for many of us that means less time in reflection mode. So, summer is by nature an external experience versus winter's internal one. And so we must make a point to slow down, reflect, and internalize pieces of our journey worth digging deeper into.
This week's conversation seems to revolve around what our physical bodies are experiencing right now. We have just experienced an eclipse, we have moved into a new season, and another full moon. There are intense solar flares, and intense astrological aspects on top of that.
As a result, in my world most people, including myself, are feeling the intensity physically. That can mean physical soreness, fatigue, and flare-ups of inflammation in your usual locations in your body, so if your knee is a location that speaks to you often, it will be speaking to you right now. Even though perhaps you feel like you haven't done anything to your knee to make it speak to you! I am also personally noticing sleeplessness and waking up at 3:33 in the morning, as well as a general return of the old feeling of being overwhelmed by a schedule that I have packed too full – reminiscent of the days just before the pandemic.
As one of my teachers, Peggy Black, recently said in her monthly transmission message, we must remember to stay in that slower space of presence, so we can anchor in this new reality of an awakened humanity. The fast pace of American life does not allow for that, we fill our day with tasks and purpose that is very service level, not allowing ourselves to reflect and witness the true beauty of this Earthen life.
So I am allowing myself space in the morning to sit in my garden to witness the bees, to listen to the birds, to watch the sun and moon rise and set. I take time at night to journal and reflect, to visualize, to breathe. With intention.
I urge you to do the same, and to encourage your children and your parents and loved ones to do the same, to do that together is even more profound.
In our Manifesting with Synchronicity course, in which we dig into The Celestine Prophecy together, in Insight 11 we talk about community and evolved and awakened model, and which we all can set intention together... When we do that in our smaller pod, our microcosm community, it carries us into the model of Insight 12 in which we can integrate that evolved and awakened energy, utilizing our One Mind, the collective consciousness, from a higher place of being.
In the next 12 weeks, I intend to dig into each insight in depth in my podcast, join us there to learn a little bit more about how we can live with this awakened intention.

It's the last week of spring and Summer is on the way! Last week I mentioned Mercury Retrograde, and you can view our previous emails on our blog and podcasts page if you missed that one! (http://www.innerselflightworks.com/podcasts)
This week, I want to take a moment to talk about the power of the stars.
When we are born, the stars align to make an astrologically magical mathematical equation that is uniquely ours, our solar system's planets all have their own energies, and how they relate to each other is important. These are called "aspects," and are either positive (conjunct, trine) or challenging (opposing, square).
The closer planets move around our star (the Sun) quickly, and so for instance, Mercury changes signs quickly, and has a lesser effect, albeit still very powerful, on our monthly journeys. The farther planets, like Saturn, are in an astrological sign for a very long time, and can affect us generationally, and therefore, when they change signs, it's a big deal, because it totally transforms a generation, a decade, or even a century's worth of energy.
It feels as though the Earth is at the center of all of this, because that's where we live. But we must remember that we are just another orbiting mass moving around the sun like all the others, and when we feel into that flow, we can move with these ever-changing energies more fluidly.
This is a big month – we are in eclipse season – we had a Lunar eclipse on May 26th and we just moved through a Solar eclipse on June 10th.

All of this can and does affect our energy – the energy I've been feeling is needing to rest – so honor that. Listen to your body, spend time in nature to recharge, work on your meditation practice, and let go of what no longer serves you. A solar eclipse will burn off the old, and coming into summer is when we get to celebrate our inner child (school's out!) and be free.
This week Mercury went into Retrograde, and so that's always a hot topic - communication and technology goes a little haywire, travel gets a little more interesting, and the weather can flare up - these are all things that the planet of Mercury and his energy can affect.
As a rule, I always say look to your chart however - if Mercury was in retrograde (IE appearing to move backwards in the sky) when you were born, then this astrological influence that happens three times a year for three weeks may not have much affect on your world at all. It doesn't on mine, and I find that a blessing indeed.
Also remember that whatever you give power to, so it is. So I often recommend to take this time to reflect and perfect - take a step back and make adjustments... in your personal world and relationships, Mercury in retrograde can help us be better listeners as well as call attention to aspects of our emotional intelligence that need work. Don't give these next three weeks too much power, feel into the flow state of the moment and ride the wave.
The "and more"... Galactic Systems and Beings
One of the first teachers I had, Sara Felez, in Eugene, Oregon, was a channeler of a galactic being named Jicondria, from the Pleiades system. She introduced me to an entire world and awareness that blew my lid open. Soon after, I read a book titled "The Only Planet of Choice," (c.1979) where-in the author channeled a Galactic Council who called themselves Tom, talking about how Earth was the focal point of the Universe right now, all eyes on us; and that our transition from 3D to 5D was going to be a long one. Soon after, I was introduced to Esther Hicks, who channels Abraham, another Galactic Council. And then Tom Kenyon, and Peggy Black, and... yes, both do that same. These conduits all began to confirm something for me.
It became apparent to me that it wasn't just one person who was bringing in messages from "outer space," and I couldn't dismiss it as creative or woo-woo. This was probably legit, and what's more, it felt legit.
Since my first series of classes with Sara, I had been introduced to my own team of guides, and I had been visited by some pretty powerful beings, one of whom was glowing blue, very tall, graceful, and peaceful, who called herself Moira. She wasn't from the Pleiades system, but I didn't have the word in my vocabulary for where she was from, so she described it to me.
Many years later, I connected Moira to the Andromeda system. She and I don't converse, she is more of a guardian, and a facilitator. When I am receiving new light codes, upgrades, or DNA shifts, she is there to help my body make those shifts. I am told we all have helpers like this, and that is affirmed by every conduit I mentioned above.
So if this sounds far-fetched to you, leave it. Continue down the path that you're on and if it eventually leads to your galactic team, excellent. But if reading this has given you chills, which is the physical body's lightening-rod way of telling you this is spiritual truth or synchronicity, because we ALL have the ability to be a conduit for the light and universal knowledge, then perhaps it's time to find out if you are a "Starseed," meaning you're here, now, to affect change, and you've come from another planet originally, to do so.
Here's a test I found. Let it lead you down your rabbit hole of choice.

Homegrown Comfrey Salve
There are often too many conversations in the week to try and pick one that stands out for me; a topic that you will find uniquely helpful... if you read our Friday update on free content, you may have checked out the first highlight, where I re-shared the latest update from Peggy Black and the Team. Peggy is a powerful medium, and her insights are always so poignant and ring true... so of course, that has been a recurring conversation this week, and thus, makes it into today's curated content for you!
To summarize, the energy right now is intense. You may have felt the full moon eclipse last week, you may be feeling the Mercury in Retrograde. I've had a lot of conversations about fear, truth, opening up, communication, and trust. Another person I follow is Sarah Varcas, and her update on this energy is profound.
In the conversation that stands out the most to me, we talked about dimensions and the Great Awakening. I've felt like we've been in this "awakening" for 2 decades - maybe 6. And in a way, we have. I feel like people have been talking about the Aquarian Age since the 60s, and they have.
You have to remember that while time can feel very fast to us on a day-to-day basis, time actually moves painfully slow here on Earth. And so the 60 years since the 1960s have been a turtle-crawl for the rest of the Universe waiting for humanity to awaken to our fullest, brightest, glorious potential.
This is something we talk about at length in Manifesting with Synchronicity - how time is malleable, lucid, and an important topic; how everything happens in its due time; and how our own timeline is a parallel to humanity's awakening.
What Peggy's team reiterates in many of her updates, we must be vigilant with our awareness, remember our light, and stand in our truth. What's out there right now is more like an a-SHAKE-ening. Yes I just made that up. But that's how it feels to me. Shaking up to waking up. In every movie (which I feel like is another form of global education) the darkness always seems to cover the set before the lightness prevails.
I won't paraphrase Peggy's update - go read it for yourself, it would be impossible to summarize other than this: You are a magnificent being of light. You DIM your light because otherwise your light makes other people who love you (and perhaps yourself) uncomfortable.
We are between dimensions right now - the 3rd dimension is pulling us down, its density feels like the darkness is prevailing. There is fear everywhere you turn. Allow that to fade out of your focus, and instead, focus on the periphery and what is happening in the 5th dimension. What is happening in the 5th dimension right now is magical, and all our guardians are stepping in to help us make this shift.
For me, it feels like my intuition continues to get sharper - I know things before they happen or are said. I have to remember to ask my guides to help me, to point me in the right direction, to help me speak my truth, and to stand up to those who cast judgment on me when I do.
However it feels to you, know that you are not alone. Know that I am here for you, and that your voice matters. Your beliefs matter. But your fears do NOT matter. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. So when you FEEL fear, try to LAUGH. Get up and MOVE. Shake it out, walk it out, jump it out, dance it out, laugh it out, and let it go. When we all let go of the false evidence together, collectively, then we will truly be free to create Shambhala (The 11th Insight - see our Advanced course for more on that one!).

Last week we kicked off "Conversations of the week" with two brief summaries of conversations I'd had - I feel like what comes into my field is probably what needs to be shared, and I hope these weekly anecdotes help guide you the way they do for me.
Spirit Guides and Guardian Angels
Last week I was in Salmon, Idaho, the home of the Shoshone Native American Tribe, and Sacajawea, the famous guide of the Lewis and Clark expedition. I had never heard of Salmon, Idaho, and have only been to Idaho once before - way up north near the Canadian border. The friends I was visiting last week are new friends, and when I went to look up where they lived, I saw a Sacajawea Historical Center, and flagged it on my Google maps immediately as a place I wanted to go.
You see, I've always had a thing for Sacajawea.
When I was young, my parents said I had lengthy conversations with "imaginary friends," one of whom I had called "Sa-wa-wee-wa."
It wasn't until much later in my life, when I had been first diving into channeling and working with the spirit realm in Oregon in the mid-90s, that my spirit guides and guardians came back to me in a flash. I was studying with my first teacher, Sara, and she was walking us through a visualization, bringing us back to our childhood, and re-introducing us to our spirit guides. During this visualization their names came back to me quickly and easily, and one of them was Sacajawea. I saw her clearly, her clothing, her long brown hair, her dark skin. I heard her soft voice say, "I've always been here with you."
Since then she has been with me, helping reintroduce me to the knowledge I have always known - that turquoise helps us work with the clouds and the rain, what animal tracks look like, what other messages the forest brings, and so much more.
In 2000 when the US Mint released the Sacajawea gold dollar coin, I collected rolls of them and handed them out for tips to spread the feminine power of her soul memory to others.
In 2010 I had a session with another intuitive, Nancy, in which she told me I came in as a twin, but that she was not able to stick around through birth. When she described this twin, who was now a woman standing over me and with me always, keeping watch, it was Sacajawea to a tee. Electricity ran through my bones in affirmation.
So when I was able to visit the Sacajawea Historical Center this past week and visit with her energy and her memory, and take a picture with her statue, it once again brought me back to the subject of guides, and how our spirit guides and guardian angels are always with us.
If you haven't yet been introduced to your guide yet, both of our courses help you make that connection: in Manifesting with Synchronicity course I share a spirit guide re-introduction, and it's a magically ceremonious exercise. In Awakening the Intuitive Within there are many short exercises to help you reconnect with your spirit team. There are also countless books on the subject; a wonderful book I recently read can help you do this - Angels in my Hair, by Lorna Byrne.
You see, our guides ARE always with us. They come in with us per contract, and stay with us, often through several lifetimes. They are also multi-dimensional, meaning they can be with several people at once. So when your guide is someone who seems too "famous" to be with you, it's because they have committed to being a guide for many, to help our souls to create a better world this time around.
They want you to connect with them. So take some time, close your eyes, and ask, "who's here with me?" And see what comes up. It may be your grandmother or another family member who's passed on, it may be a Saint or ArchAngel, or it may be someone who's always inspired you, like Albert Einstein or Eleanor Roosevelt. Their name may escape you, but you can sense their presence or see their figure. They may come to you in your dream, or repeatedly appear in visuals, art, or books.
Get acquainted, and see what magic follows.

I had a good idea last week... these come often to me at 4:00 am, and I wake up, make a short note in my phone, and then come back to them when I have time. It's great to use dreamtime for this practice, because it's a time of day when our minds are most creative. So instead of being bothered by the creative bursts in the middle of the night, say thank you, brain-dump them onto a notepad or into your phone (I draft an email so I actually remember to look at them!) and then you can tell your brain to fall back asleep and come up with some more great ideas later!
This week's AHA was to bring some of my enlightening conversations of the week to you directly. Every week is peppered with conversations that inspire me - whether that's in an individual coaching session with a client, a conversation with one of my peers, a session with my own coach, or a download from my High self, it always comes as an AHA to me as well.
I think these topics will come as a timely reminder or insight to you because of our global collectivity - when one of us is going through something challenging or has an inspiring idea, the rest can benefit.
So... let's begin!
This week I had two enlightening conversations I wanted to share:
One on Ayurveda and the other on grieving a pet. I will only share the highlights of these conversations, with a coaching tip... so you can see my coaching style and decide whether or not a coaching session with me is something you need right now.
Topic #1 - Ayurveda 101
I have been a student of the Ayurveda principles since 1993 when I was introduced to Macrobiotics and proper eating combinations. These practices stem from Ayurveda itself, as to most of our healthy lifestyle principles, because the practice of Ayurveda is the oldest form of medicine and healthy living coaching that is recorded in our modern history. Use your favorite search engine to discover that, and let's skip to what my friend Kelly talked about on our hike this week!
The premise of Ayurveda lies in our physical composition and is based around three primary body types or "Doshas." These doshas are Vata, Pitta and Kapha and what exercise, food, and mindset we desire and have can be based around the energies of these doshas! They each have their own physical composition (average), elemental energy (air, earth and fire), and healing solutions for coming back into balance. This is just the beginning of a much longer conversation as it applies to health but here's what I recommend:
1. Get your dosha tested - it's so interesting! Finding out your dosha can help you understand so much about your physical composition and needs as well as health solutions.

2. Take it bit by bit - this is a 3000+ year old practice, with diet, yoga practices, and so much more that goes to it. But if this interests you, and if you're someone who likes to learn about health, this is a great practice to adopt. Here's my favorite book that I've had on the subject since 1994 and is updated regularly. Ayurveda: A Life of Balance: the Complete Guide to Ayurvedic Nutrition and Body Types with Recipes by Maya Tiwari
3. Compare it to your astrology - if you're into that (as I know many of my followers are!) and you will see some very interesting similarities! For instance, in my astrology chart, I have 5 planets in fire and my dosha composition is mostly Pitta (fire). This can mean I don't tolerate spicy foods well because my composition is already fiery... and so many other interesting things.
Topic #2 - Grieving Your Pet
This week I spoke to a friend who's dog was older, but not old enough to pass in her eyes, and he was hit by a car. We talked about how she felt like she knew he was going to leave; he had a look, she had a feeling. And then sure enough, that afternoon, he was gone. We talked about how perhaps this was because he didn't want her to go through the often-hard ending that our pets endure in the end (cancer, for instance), and how sometimes it's just easier to say goodbye quickly, than to say it slowly. This friend will never know for sure, but it's so much better to trust the process, and to trust her dog had a purpose - and a singular mission of love, and that it's OK.
It's also ok to grieve a pet for however long you need to. Sometimes we'll hear loved ones say "it's just a cat/dog," but we know, we had a stronger connection than that. And grief is a many-stage process. So honor that. I lost my dear cat at 17 years old, after watching him fade through 3 months of cancer, in the fall of 2019. It was hard to get over not having him there every day, not seeing him and loving him daily, and even though we still had another cat, I didn't have the same connection with her. Rider was soul family, and sometimes we just know that and there's no explaining it. So giving yourself time to grieve is extremely important, and whenever you're ready to get another pet to fill the void, you'll know when that timing is right. Trust that, too.
